It's not wrong to want a softer front for feel, I would set it at 5 due to how the rest of the car was setup.

I could set it at 2 for great feel at the start of the run but I felt it would leave less room for tweaking as the run went on.

As the run goes on the rake increases as the weight comes off the rear due to fuel burn. This gives the car better turn in and if the front tires are more work you can lower the ARB to help turn in. If you already have softer ARB's and the balance of the car is ok due to fuel burn then that's fine too.

Hope this helps,

Shane, one more question i faced while using this guide. About front ARB, first you say: " I like to feel what the front is doing, which means I run a softer front that some." After that, at the end: "The front ARB also can be stiffened as the run goes although I tend to start it at 5 and lowered it to 4 as the front tires lose their initial grip."
The problem is that I don't feel the front with arb set 5, I need 2-3. It made me think that I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks Ilya,

glad you have found it useful. I don't mind at all, it all help folks get a handle on the cars.

"Woed up" is used in horses and means slowed. ie it's very important to slow the car prior to turning in.

Cheers.

Thank you so much, man! Your guied is very usefull. I even transleted it into russian and posted at our community's forum (Hope, you don't mind). We have just few problems while translating. What does "getting it woed up before turn in is vital" mean, specifically "woed up"?
