Rake

Rake

Rake is commonly the rear ride height in relation to the front ride height. This is a relative measurement rather than absolute. For instance if our race car is over-steering into the corner you may reduce that by reducing the rake, by lowering the rear ride height in relation to the front.

Rake can also be used while discussing pitch sensitivity or how the car behavior changes as the attitude / or angle of the car changes under acceleration, braking and cornering forces.
